A bit about Jihye

Jihye [Jee-hae], meaning ‘Wisdom’ in Korean, reflects the essence of my approach to design. With a rich blend of work experience and educational background, I craft thoughtful and insightful design solutions that address complex challenges.

Canada Learning Code (2022 – Present): Develop and refine digital assets, including website designs and campaign materials, in collaboration with the marketing and development team.

ONWAA (2021 – Present): Lead designer on a high-stakes UX/UI project focusing on user accessibility and engagement.

Aftermetoo (2021 – Present): Directed design projects that enhanced the brand’s digital presence and led to a successful website launch.

Canadian Women’s Foundation (2023 – Present): Crafted visual reports and marketing materials, notably for the Feminist Entrepreneur Summit 2023 in Winnipeg.

Good Roots Consulting (2023 – Present): Developed reusable and consistent branding solutions for non-profits.

I mentor immigrant women professionals, aiding their integration into Canada’s workforce and began my mentoring with the ISSofBC TechWomen Program, which also kickstarted my career.

I am an active member of the WordPress community, regularly participating in discussions on Full Site Editing and other technologies, demonstrating my commitment to continuous learning and open source contribution.

I earned first place in the 2022 Iterate UX Design Challenge by conducting impactful UX research for Stop2Heal, a nonprofit dedicated to aiding human trafficking survivors.
