Overview
For the Feminist Business Summit 2024 in Montreal, I was tasked with creating a unified and engaging visual identity. The designs spanned both digital and print materials, all aligned with the event’s theme of “Feminist Business Village.”
Starting with the tote bag, I set the visual tone for the entire summit. This design style was carried through to name tags, welcome cards, reception cards, and digital materials such as the participant program and speaker bios. All elements were crafted to be vibrant, dynamic, and accessible, ensuring a cohesive experience for the attendees across multiple platforms.
My goal was to enhance user engagement while staying true to the feminist business values of the event.
The bag was designed as a functional swag item for summit participants to carry gifts from local feminist businesses and other event materials. Due to silkscreen printing limitations, I used two colors on the front and one on the back.
To ensure both quality and impact, I kept the design simple yet bold. The bags were produced by a women-owned business in Korea, aligning with the summit’s values of supporting feminist entrepreneurs. The result was a high-quality item participants could use beyond the event, reminding them of the summit experience in their daily lives.
As part of the visual identity for the Feminist Business Summit 2024, I designed name badges that prioritized clarity, accessibility, and inclusivity. Starting with a clean and readable mockup, I added designated areas for gender pronoun and contact stickers in the next version, ensuring they didn’t obstruct names or QR codes. On the back of the badge, I included a QR code linking to the participant program, allowing attendees to easily access the summit agenda and schedule whenever needed. This design was crucial for staff and participants to quickly scan, interact with ease, and stay informed, all while maintaining inclusivity.

What This Project Meant to Me
This project was an incredible opportunity to merge design with purpose, aligning with the core values of feminist business. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do—creating meaningful and memorable experiences through design. Working on such a meaningful event pushed me to think creatively while staying focused on user experience and promoting feminist business principles. I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to the summit and look forward to future projects that continue to blend design, social impact, and feminist business values.
